In the village of Zarzecze located on the Dunajec River in the picturesque Łącko commune, Krzysztof Maurer runs an orchard with his family, continuing local traditions dating back to the 12th century. Since 2002, the Maurers have produced juices squeezed in a traditional press with no artificial additives; now they also specialise in what the people of the Łącko region have cultivated for centuries: as they call it, the liquefaction of the fruit treasures of the Łącko region in the form of distillates, spirits, liqueurs, wines and ciders.
